Camp Invention

Sophia attended a 5 day Science Camp. 35 campers ages 6 to 11 met for 8 hours a day to learn about the laws of motion. They built a group Roller Coaster (The Twitching Tower of Terror), individual roller coaster (Sophia built the Seaworld Journey to Atlantis car), studied how to protect and automobile or skateboard from impact, built a rocket ship (her rocket ship was a pretty paper bag and when the wind took it, IT did launch)and launched it (they all made it back to Earth) and built a Robot (Sophia's Robot function is to carry her drinks).

Law 1: "A particle will stay at rest or continue at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force."

Law 2: "An object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by its acceleration"

Law 3: "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."

Sophia was nervous at first and suffered some first day anxiety but by the end of the camp she was happy and had made some new friends.
