The Cat Who Lied by Sophia

Sophia wrote a fable. The fable was written and illustrated by Sophia and then hardbound as a keepsake.

On a hot summer day, in a village, there was a mean cat who lied to a gullible, sweet elephant.

It all started, in a village when an elephant came to town. there was a sneaky cat who lied to the elephant because he thought it was funny.

The cat said to the elephant, "Today is polka Dot Day!" So, the elephant went home to get ready for Polka Dot Day!

The elephant got unwashable paint and put pink and purple polka dots all over his gray skin.

Then the elephant came back into town and everyone was laughing at him. One animal even said, "Get out of town!" So, the sad elephant did.

As he was leaving town, he saw the sneaky cat. The cat was behind a tree laughing his socks off.

In the end the elephant learned that even though some will believe anything, it is not nice to lie to others for a laugh.
