New Club Soccer Team

Well, it's official. Isabella has been selected to play on the Girls '99, B team for FC Murrieta. She has been playing on the G'00 team, which is her age bracket (by 9 days) but this year they asked us to move her up to the tier 2 G'99 team. So, now instead of being one of the oldest players on the team, she'll be one of the youngest players. That deadline (July 31st birthday)really is confusing because her birthday is only 9 days shy of the bracket up or bracket down. So, she's not really playing up. She's playing with girls that are in the same grade as her in school. She knows 3 of the girls on the team already from school and has played recreational soccer with 2 of them in the past.

The only adjustment in personality will be that she had finally started making strides in trusting her old coach and now she has to develop that trust again with a new coach. Also, this coach is completely new to the league and the team so there will be a ton of team building going on this Spring. For Isabella, we know one thing is clear...if she doesn't trust the coach there is no way she'll actually do what they say on the field. She's got to trust them completely.

She's excited about the team and about her skills. So, we'll see how she does this year. It's a bigger field with more players but we think she's ready for that.
