Ski lessons for the girls! Isabella was so nervous she was crying. She thought that we'd make her jump from the top of the mountain. She was scared that she would have to ride the chair lift. She was relieved that beginning "bears" don't do any of that. Did you know that they call snowplowing "pizza" now? They tell them to make their pizza slice as big as they can. We got to the slopes at 9am, dressed everyone in their gear and then got the rental skis. Quentin was happy all along even though he had been burning with fever the night before. We got the boots on and then to the ski counter. When Q realized that there were no skis for him he started to cry. He pointed to the highest mountain and chair lift and said through all his snot and tears "I do THAT. I ride that!"
After 2 hours of lessons the girls were worn out. They did fabulous and overcame their fears and all scored a A+ on the skills they were supposed to learn. They ate a ton of snow on the slopes...LOL! Q and I had a makeshift snowball fight while we waited for the sisters. he was mad again when they finished and he didn't want to be a part of their celebratory picture in front of the slope.
After skiing we went back to the cabin, played in the snow some more, ate pizza and took naps. After naps we roasted marshmallows in the fireplace and ate smores and had mom's famous hot chocolate and enjoyed a relaxing game night.
