Let's all pray that Ava doesn't end up in the hospital again this year. She has been puking since 3pm yesterday. We had a brief hiatus and were able to get some fluids in her but she started vomiting again around mid-day today. The Physician assistant called in a prescription for Zofran. We picked it up and gave it to her but just as it dissolved she threw up again. We're hoping it made it to her bloodstream since we didn't see the tablet in the puke pail. She weighs less than 40 pounds and these stomach virus's really hit her hard. We had hoped that because she had it so very bad last year that she'd gain some immunity from it happening that bad again. next year she's getting locked in the bubble during stomach flu season.
And, please let me make a public service announcement: People of the world...wash your hands and make your kids wash their hands. I am such a germ-o-phobe during flu season and yet the month of January our whole family managed to contract both versions of the flu, head and stomach.

Poor Ava, I hope she is doing better today...she really does get hit hard with the stomach virus. I get a a little crazed with the germ thing this time year too. I called Steve on my way to work yesterday just to make sure that he brought hand sanitizer with him when he picked up Ella from school, we don't even wait till we get home to sanitize!! ha!
