Vacation Bible School

This is our third year of sending the kids to VBS. As they get older we add a new one to the mix. Isabella first, then Sophia and this year it was finally Ava's turn.

VBS is at our neighbor's home church. A mega church just a few miles away. They have over 1000 kids at VBS (K-5th grade). It's very overwhelming and lots of fun for the kiddos. It was one week 5:30pm-8:30 each night. The theme this year was Amusement Park, so lasts nights final festivities included a carnival finale.

The kids learned stories throughout the week. They were especially amazed with God and Jesus for the miracles that Jesus preformed and the curing of the blind man. They were able to repeat these stories and think about them and ponder them throughout the day. They learned songs (contemporary Christian rock songs). They made new friends. They were given "challenges" every night so that they could learn how much they truly had in their lives. Sleep on the floor instead of a bed. Drink water and milk only. No TV all day. They also raised money to send to children's charities around the world.

I'm hoping pictures will come soon.
