Tonight was the performance that Ava has practiced all year for. She's been doing ballet now for 2 years. She really believes she is a ballerina. She did a fabulous job tonight (really that's not just a mom talking). She knew all the moves, nailed every position. Kept her chin up and toes pointed. And, most important of all kept a smile on her face for the entire performance.

We drove 35 minutes each way. Sat through 3 1/2 hours of dancing and witnessed her magical moments for 1.5 minutes. Worth it all. When we rescued her from backstage she proclaimed that she "loved ballet and wanted to dance forever".

she's gorgeous in that costume! even the makeup is cute - did she totally love it? :o) did the nail polish have to come off?
Horray for Ava! Her costume is so beautiful! She really does look like a ballerina and that minute and half is the most exciting for everyone! So worth all the time, makeup, hairspray and hours of other dancers! We are proud of her!
