This week Ava completed soccer camp. This is her 3rd Summer soccer camp but her first year doing camp without her two older sisters. It was also the first year for the local high school soccer teams to run the clinic at the high school. This was a 3 hour camp, pretty rough for our dear 6 year old, but she survived it.
They definitely wore her out and she had some great touches on the ball. She showed alot of the boy ball hogs that a girl must be contended with and she's not afraid to get in the mix and throw herself around and try to get that ball free. she may not be the fastest or the strongest but she's tenacious when she wants the ball for her team.
I was impressed by the knowledge she gained for the game itself. this Fall she's moving up to the bigger fields to U8 rec and I think she's got a mental advantage because of the skills she knows. She'll develop the physical skills as she grows.
She's a hard worker out there on the field.
