Isabella finally did it! She'll be 10 years old in 2 weeks and she finally decided to get her ears pierced. She was starting to say she liked the idea of getting her ears pierced but she was afraid of the pain. I told her that being almost 10 years old it was time to get over that fear.
We invited a friend with pierced ears to go with us and we headed out to "The Icing" in the mall. Isabella had done some research online and had decided that she wanted that particular store because they don't have the ear piercing chair in the front window of the store. Apparently, it's even more frightening if there are strangers walking by watching you get your ears pierced.
She did great! Hardly any tears at all and after the first ear was done she actually laughed. She feels really silly that she waited all these years and passed up the opportunities to be so glamorous. Of course she picked the biggest, pinkest earrings she could find.
