Q had his first swim lesson this morning. He'll be going twice a week for the next month.
He never wanted to do swim lessons before. Really...he wouldn't even get in the pool with Rami without his inflatable intertube. This year, the intertube popped and I didn't buy him a new one so he became somewhat more brave about the pool. Yesterday, I asked him if he was ready for swim lessons and he said "no". We had gone to the pool last Monday and got friendly with the instructor and even met some of his swim friends that were starting today too.
He did wonderful this morning. He was also a really great, considerate swim friend to his buddies. He did everything the instructor said to do. Didn't complain about the water being too cold (even though he was shivering) and he tried his best to be brave, even on the 2 activities that he wasn't comfortable with (back float and crab walking using the wall).
He had fun and he's excited for his next lesson. YAY!
