Isabella completed her recreational soccer season for Spring. We had signed her up for the under 12 division because she needed the practice on the larger field she's moving up to in the Fall with Club soccer. She's 9 and she played co-ed soccer with kids ages 11-13 (some 7th graders in this division). She really played a strong left defensive position and she gained great endurance playing the large field and many games where she played all 4 qtrs or 3 of 4 qtrs.
What doesn't kill her will make her stronger. Today the Jaguars went to the championship game. Out of 22 teams, it came down to the final 2 this afternoon. And the final score was 1-2. The Jaguars lost but it was a fantastic game. Isabella has learned alot this past year in soccer and she's gained skills just in the last 4 months that make us pretty proud of her. Of course she probably thinks we're mean parents who don't know anything about soccer and we just yell at her from the sidelines. But, we know the big picture and we know that making her stronger in something she excels at will help her in the long run.
