COWS go MOO!

The final Kindergarten field trip of the school year. Dejong's Dairy. The last cash and carry (complete milk processing and selling right on the farm...no grocery store distribution) dairy left in Riverside County.

80 Holstein cows are breed (one bull), milked twice a day and raised on the farm. The milk is processed, pasteurized, homogenized, packaged and sold on the farm. No hormones no pesticides...but not quite certified organic.

Goats, sheep, lambs, peacocks and various birds are also on the farm. It took 10 minutes for Sophia to finally stick her hand through the fence and let the animals nibble the food.

A hot, stinky day on the farm. But a wonderful fun time with our friends at school. And...MOM's first field trip! Whopee.
