Why do I do this to myself?

Spring has arrived. I fought a tough battle this past Fall and won. I lobbied that we not sign all 3 girls up for soccer in the spring. My argument was that they needed more time fore relaxing and homework, etc.

We have had 2 weeks "off"...only meaning that I now have Mondays and every other Wednesday free and it's been a blessing this last week.

Well...I just can't leave well enough alone. When Isabella started with her new club soccer team this past week we found out that they were not signed up for a spring league (which was part of why we didn't sign up for recreational soccer because of the club soccer spring league). We also found out the most of the team HAD signed up for rec soccer. So, Isabella taking the season off AND playing up to U11 but not starting until the end of May with their new season would put her at a slight disadvantage.

We quickly got her placed on a U12 recreational team at the last minute. I prayed that the coach had not set practices for Thursdays (my crazy day). Today I got the email. He had set practices for Monday and Wednesday's. Now, I don't have any days off. And, Isabella is playing soccer 5 days a week.

On top of that Ava's ballet studio has approved her to begin taking a ballet 1 class in addition to her pre-ballet class. She asked for more of a challenge and they agreed she could handle it. That class meets on Tuesdays at the same time as Isabella's club soccer practice. So, unless I find a willing carpool participant I'll be doing the mad dash cross town shuffle on Tuesday afternoons.

Oh and one more thing....Chess Club. Chess club after school just announced their dates. All 3 girls love chess club and I think it's important for them. It's on Thursdays...wouldn't you know it. So, every other Thursday we'll have to shoot straight from chess club to Sophia's girl scouts. And then go immediately to ballet for Ava. On the opposing, Thursday's there is no Girl Scouts so we'll have a bit slower drive to ballet immediately following chess club. ;)

Good thing I'm taking 10 days worth of vacation time this month...because I'm going to need it!!!!
