Giddy up cowgirls!
The girls were signed up for horseback riding camp 3 months ago. Unfortunately, Sophia was not allowed to attend the camp after all. But, Isabella and Ava went and had a blast.
Ava is definitely more interested in animals and farm life than Isabella was but they both had a positive experience at camp.
The camp was 3, 8-hour days spent taking care of the horses, learning about horses, cleaning stalls and taking care of the ranch. Each day included riding the horses and making new Girl Scout friends at camp.
Every afternoon the girls came home, hot, sweaty, smelling like horse butt but having huge smiles and lots of excitement telling me about their day on the farm.
Their legs are sore their hearts are full. Isabella was very proud of her horse Star and bonded with her so well. Ava really took care of her horse Buzz and she will have fond memories of sweet old Buzz. I only wish they'd tackle the job of cleaning their rooms with as much enthusiasm as they did in cleaning horse stalls everyday.
Yee Haw!
