Quentin's preschool class celebrated Thanksgiving this afternoon. I was expecting Pilgrims and Indians when I arrived (I mean this is my 4th kid, you really can't do anything that I don't expect). Instead, I was greeted by a Thanksgiving Turkey.
Quentin had made a turkey hat and was gobbling and having fun. His class read a story, sang a song, gathered at the table for a feast like the pilgrims and Indians (I bet that's the first time the turkey's were ever enjoying the dinner).
They sang a thankful song and then dined on turkey sandwiches cut into turkey shapes, applesauce, black olives, corn, turkey cookies, apple pie and pumpkin pie. My darling boy is a picky eater...he often refuses to eat anything at all at school. He of course ate the bread (not the meat), drank the juice and had a cookie and called that lunch.
Gobble Gobble.
