Ava Ubaydi! Ava had the honor of receiving the first award of the school year for her good citizenship in her 1st grade classroom. This is the first time ever that these kids have been recognized in school and have attended an award ceremony. It was exciting to watch their faces.
Ava's award was the CARE award which means she shows excellent citizenship and caring in school. This award is not given by the teacher but rather it is voted on by the class. So, amongst Ava's peers they believe that she is truly caring and kind and displays great citizenship.
Her teacher wrote this on her award: We choose Ava Ubaydi for the CARE award because her friends all agree she is nice to everyone. She works hard and she is quiet. She is helpful and she plays with everyone. There is never a time when Ava says I won't play with you, you are not my friend.
Ava was extremely proud of her award and so are we.
