Family Soccer Trifecta

Photobucket

Have I mentioned we are in the midst of Spring soccer season here? Rami is coaching 2 teams (U5 and U6 divisions) which means he's coaching Ava and Sophia's team.

Ava is a first timer. She's been patiently waiting for the last 2 years to play soccer. She barely kicks the ball but she has heart and she runs back and forth with all her might and her short little legs carry her as fast as they can. She looks like a princess balancing a tiara but she's trying. Her favorite part is, of course, halftime and snacks.

Sophia is a second timer. She played when Rami coached her 2 years ago and then gave it a break for a while. She has renewed interest in the sport. She's definately improved over the last time she played....she's now longer picking dandelions while the game goes on around her.

Isabella is in the U8 division and is on a fantastic team this season. It's co-ed because it's Spring. she was upset about that at first. But, those boys give her a run for her money and she has improved her skills this season. This is her 5th season playing. She plays year-round, in both Spring and Fall.

We've had some scheduling conflicts juggling 3 games every Saturday. It puts us on the field for a little over 3 hours total. Quentin's soccer tolerance is about 45 minutes to an hour. he's satisfied playing on the sidelines for that amount of time and then he wants to be on the team and get on the field. He's working his ball skills and he even had a chance to be the coach today. Yelling from the sidelines. "Go Dragons...ROOOOAAARRR!"

Today all three girls teams won their games...a family trifecta.
