The Mr. and the Mrs. have been trying to have monthly date nights for the last 3 months. We usually try to go the second Saturday of the month. Our goal has been to try new restaurants that we don't normally go to with the kids and then to see a movie or go to the casino.
Last night we left a little earlier than usual (letting the sitter put the kids to bed instead of leaving later after the kids are asleep). We tried a small family owned Italian Restaurant. Very good atmosphere and food. splurged on dessert and a bottle of wine. Then we hit the casino for a quick $100 in 45 minutes. Raced to the mall for our movie (free passes) "Burn after reading" by the Cohen Brothers.
All in all....a good date night. And a great reason to get dressed up and wear make up!

yay! sounds like an awesome night! getting dressed up & wearing makeup is always a good thing. $100 at the casino rules - paid for part of the evening, i would imagine! how was that movie?
Very weird movie...a la Cohen brothers.
We basically only had to pay the sitter...which turned out to be a good deal for 5 hours of quality time.
That is a great datenight! You guys seem to have a lot of luck at the casino!
