Report Cards

FINALLY! Some grades. The school district here only gives out 2 report cards a year. Once in February at the end of the second marking period and one at the end of the year. VERY nerve wracking if you ask me. I haven't seen any solid grades (other than weekly tests/papers) from my kiddos since last June in California. We did get a 1st quarter progress report but it didn't reflect grades by subject. It only listed the quality of their work and effort in class.

Report cards came home on Valentine's day. I was pleased with the grades. Isabella is the only one who got actual letter grades by subject. She cried because things weren't as good as she had hoped. But, overall she did well for having to learn to adjust to a whole new curriculum and grading system. Sophia is doing well, having recovered mostly from her head injury took it's toll on her grades at first but she's rebounding nicely now. Ava is also doing better now. At first she was hesitant of the new teacher and the new class and she's now finally blooming in class and working to show the teacher what she is capable of. No, one had any "bad" grades, everyone showed progress and is working toward year end goals. What else can a mom ask of her sweeties on Valentine's Day?

Good work ladies, you've worked hard.
