A game he waited all his life for.

Q was almost born on the soccer field. He's 4 years old and has waited for his chance to play. Finally, this season he's old enough. He's spent countless afternoons on the soccer field with his sisters. Supported them through tireless weekends of games and tournaments. Endured the heat and cold and early mornings. Some of his first words were "put me in coach" he'd yell from the sidelines during Isabella's games.

Finally, the morning of his first ever soccer game arrived. Unfortunately, it was also bittersweet. The morning of his first was also the morning of his last for this season. With our move to MI he'll have to wait until next Spring to play again. On the way to the field he was excited. He was also quiet and contemplative, reflecting on what he knows about soccer. He hears the pep talks we give the girls...the pressure is on.

WOW! This boy is amazing. he's going to give Isabella a run for her money for the title of family Soccer Star. He runs fast, he dribbles the ball while he's running. He is an aggressive defender (a little too much, we had to ask him to back down on the opponents a little). He wants the victory! BUT...he's a good sport too. He wants all his friends to play well (even the ones on the other team). He congratulates everyone and he supports everyone. I'm so proud of the little boy he has become. He scored 7 goals!
