Tourists in our own town

This weekend we had tossed around the idea of a weekend getaway. But, instead we decided to be tourists in our own town.

This morning we went to the Temecula Berry company and picked fresh blueberries for ourselves. Then we headed off to Old Town Temecula to view some of the artwork from this weekend's sidewalk chalk art festival. We also were able to let the kids make their own art to add to the sidewalk mural.

This afternoon an old friend from college was in town so we invited him over for dinner and we made fresh Blueberry trifle with our straight from the vine berries. YUM!

We had a great relaxing weekend.
