This week we got notice that Sophia was chosen for an award by her teacher that was presented this morning. And, we also got a notice on Tuesday that Isabella would be receiving an award from her teacher on Thursday. Boy, you can really tell I dropped the hammer down on these two girls at the beginning of the new year huh? They shaped themselves right up in a hurry.
Sophia received Student of the Month for her class for February. Each month the teacher picks 4 students to receive awards. Student of the Month is usually academic based, Teacher's choice is someone who worked harder than most at something the teacher has been struggling with, CARE is a character award given when a child displays stellar character traits above and beyond the normal and Lunch with The Principal is the coveted award if you want McDonald's lunch with the Principal.
We're pretty proud of Sophia and about her performance in school this year.
Stay tuned tomorrow for Isabella's award...she may scream or burst or do something really exciting if she gets lunch with the principal. She's been wanting that one for a long time now.
