As expected the Rheumatologist did not like my MRI results. Apparently, that word Tynosynivitis is not a word they like to see so many times on one MRI on a foot. It's a giant red flag for Rheumatoid Arthritis. So, what started out as a stress fracture injury and a torn tendon (which is now almost healed) has turned into so much more.
Currently, I have seen the podiatrist who has me bearing weight in my running shoes with an insole. In 10 days I go back to her for the molds to make my custom orthotics. The custom orthotics will make running alot easier on me and will correct my mechanics.
Today, the Rheumatologist drew 11 viles of blood to run the full RA and Lupus panels. She also is ordering a bone density scan because she somewhat agrees with the Athletic Triad assessment of the last doctor. In addition today I had sets of xrays on my hands, feet and wrists...that's part of the RA testing.
I wait 2 weeks and go back to hear the final results of her studies.
