Summer Workouts

Now that the kids are out of school for the summer I'm able to spend more time in the gym. Here's my current summer plan.

Monday: Cross train Precor for 10 minutes (one mile, 175 strides), a total body toning routine on the machines followed by 12 minutes on the recumbant bike (Random Hills level 5, 103 rpms).

Tuesday: 3 mile tempo run at a comfortable pace (currently 6.0mph). Heavy Ab workout for 30 minutes (work all sides of the muscle).

Wednesday: Stretch, Shoulders,Biceps and Chest workout. 20 minutes of Eliptical cross training followed by 10 minutes on the recumbant bike.

Thursday: 3 mile interval running (qtr mile sprint at 7 mph and qtr mile jog at 5.5mph). Light toning with weights.

Friday: 10 minute fast pace run (6.5-6.8 mph), stretch, heavy leg and glute routine followed by 10 minutes on recumbant bike.

Saturday or Sunday: 5 mile outdoor hills run.
