Christmas Card time

Every year I make my own Christmas Cards. I start planning this feat the year prior after the last batch has gone out. I try not to think about what all of you do with my cards you receive...do you save them, do you frame them (I design them as 5x7 so that you can fit them nicely in a frame), do you line the bird cage, do you recycle them, do you throw them in the Christmas trash?

Personally, I save all the cards we've ever received for Christmas. I have them all stored by year in gallon sized zip lock bags and then chronologically ordered in a box that is stored with my Christmas decorations. Some would think that a bit overboard. I rationalize it knowing that all of you put time, effort and thought into those cards and it's memories and moments that I want to preserve for my kids.

So, this year...before you throw away those cards give an extra thought to the memories and the moments. And, if you do actually toss it in the recycle bin please know that this year...

I scored a bargain by ordering my cards from Shutterfly and got them free by taking part in this promotion. :D
