Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Team Lisa did great in yesterday's Race for the Cure. We raise $1800 for Breast Cancer research. We honored our awesome friend Lisa Hicks. And, our timed running team all finished with great times. It was a beautiful morning in Temecula. There were 11,000 runners/walkers in 4 race categories. Our timed runners included, Rena', Amanda, Dee Dee, Jennifer (Team Diva's), Almost the entire Loving family and for her first race ever...Isabella.

The timed race was the first one of the morning with an 8am start. The start was tough. My Garmin data showed that for the first half mile I was doing a sprint-jog combination trying to work my way through the crowd of people so that I could establish pace. I finally evened it out once we got through some tight corners. We were jamming our way through, everyone doing their thing. Dacey and Ryan were in the lead. Around the 2nd mile Rena and Dee Dee passed me. Amanda and Tony were close behind me and then Isabella and Jennifer were chugging along making great time on those hills.

In the end the Murrieta contingent of the Running Divas crew finished within minutes of each other.

Ryan and Dacey came in around 25 and 26 minutes (youngin's at 20 years old)
Rena and Dee Dee came in strong at around 27-28 minutes
I came in at 28:32 and Amanda came in seconds behind me with Tony brinning up the end at 29 minutes.

Jennifer and Isabella finished strong in 42 minutes.

We had a great time running together and we all definately set some records with smiles on our faces.

What a great cause.
